Showers and Lounges at Toronto Pearson

Toronto Pearson has no free public showers. The paid options are a lounge, a hotel room, or a hotel’s leisure facilities; which one suits depends on the length of your layover.

Lounges with showers

Plaza Premium Lounge, Terminal 1 (international side, near Gate E77) has private shower suites, recliner seating and catering. It is on the international side, so it serves long-haul arrivals and departures at Terminal 1.

Plaza Premium Lounge, Terminal 3 (near Gate B24) also offers shower facilities, hot meals and lounge seating, available on a walk-in basis or through Priority Pass.

Both sell access to anyone, not only premium-cabin passengers, subject to capacity at the door. Airline lounges, including the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in Terminal 1, are limited to eligible passengers and members. At peak international departure times, book a lounge slot ahead, since access depends on capacity.

Hotel showers, pools and gyms

The airport hotels offer a private shower and somewhere to leave luggage:

• The Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport is inside Terminal 3, with a 24-hour heated indoor pool and fitness centre, and Club Lounge day passes from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• The ALT Hotel Toronto Pearson publishes day-use stays and has a 14th-floor gym open around the clock, one free LINK train stop from either terminal.
• The Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites has indoor and outdoor pools plus squash and basketball courts, directly opposite the airport with a free 24-hour shuttle.
• The Westin Toronto Airport is wellness-focused, with a heated indoor pool and a WestinWORKOUT fitness centre.
• The DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Airport has a heated indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness centre five minutes away by free shuttle.

Choosing between them

For a three to five hour layover, a lounge pass covers the shower, food and a seat, and you stay airside. For anything longer, or if you need to sleep, a day-use room is usually the better option: the shower is private, there is a bed, and you can leave luggage in the room.

If you arrive on an overnight flight and go straight to a meeting, the Sheraton Gateway inside Terminal 3 is the nearest hotel shower to the gates at Pearson.
